Thomas Wong coat, size 4/6
This elegant vintage evening coat is in a light aqua-baby blue.
It was exclusively handmade by Thomas Wong in Kowloon Hong Kong.
The label is dated 29 April 1968.
It's a silk and wool blend with a low luster sheen to the fabric, and it has a shiny light blue full lining with an interior 4" wide panel with Chinese designs which is next to fabric.
This same design pattern is on the upper interior back behind the label.
It has an interior eyehook and thread loop.
It has 3/4 length sleeves and vertical front deep pockets.
At the bottom of the sleeves, down the front sides, and around the collar is a 1 1/2" wide area with a design pattern of flowers and leaves.
The design areas have faux pearls in two sizes, grayish tiny beads, white beads, and clear beads (in two sizes) with light aqua thread going through them.
There are also large aqua faux stones.
There are a couple of tiny beads and pearls missing, but they don't affect its appearance.
The interior side fabric is a little bit lighter in small areas.
It's beautifully made, and the pictures don't do it justice.
It's from a stylist's personal collection.
She said that she always got lots of compliments whenever she wore it.
It has been hanging in her closet for quite a few years.
She now wears a much larger size.
shoulder to shoulder 15 3/4"
shoulder to end of sleeve 18"
shoulder to hem 38 1/4"
side to side bottom hem 21"
